automobile accident

myself and my two minor children were involved in a accident whereas we were passengers in a taxi that was rearended. Taxi company state they were not insured at time of accident and to go after the ins. co. of the persons who were at fault, they inturn, returned the medical bills stating they were not liable
I reside in Idaho, but accident occured in oregon
