Avoiding collections on a fund raiser acct.

we are doing fund raising for a bone marrow receipient and want to set up a bank account specifically for her bone marrow transplant. collectors are after the victim for chemo treatments.
can collectors take the money from the bank fund if it's in her name and if so, is there a way we can set up a fund, without tax cost to us, that will still be there for people to mail in donations, knowing full well they are still donating to her? and is there a way for the bank to know what account to put the money into without the checks being in the receipents name or her having to sign the checks?
