Bad Check A Long Time Ago

I was notified by a law firm that they were trying to collect on a bad check. They allege that in 2001 I wrote a bad check for a 18 dollar pizza order at Poppa Johns Pizza when I was living in Texas. I have never been contacted until now and this Law Firm wants 145 dollars to settle this. I wrote them a letter and requested all the proof of this bad check. If this is true and I did write this bad check do I owe them all this additional money. This is the craziest thing that has ever happened to me. Help Please

You did the right thing in requesting proof of the check,etc., just don't let them tell you they're going to have you arrested.. its pure bull.
