Question

Bank checking question?

How many times can a bank put a check through and collect a NSF charge? Although this matter is over with concerning the store I wrote the check with, but I made arrangements to pay the check with the store and the day I was to mail payment they tried to process the check for the 3rd time. I had stopped putting money into the account because when I phoned the bank as to why the check bounced, they said I missed the deposit by 10 minutes Alright a collection fee tactic I figured. By the 3rd time they had to tap into my savings account to get the NSF fee. I was told by someone (not the bank)that they can only process a NSF check twice. Is this true? Learn lessons everyday in Maryland, Thank you for your response.

I always heard the bank could keep putting the check through till they get their money but my bank will only run it through 3 times.
