I wired money to a bank in Florida after verifying the bank has to verify all information before setting up an account. I don't live in Florida but purchased something and wired the money to an account in Florida. As it turns out it was a scam and the SS# used was 999-99-9999 and the bank let it go through and didn't verify the information. I would like to go after the bank - do I have a chance?
The bank said they have to verify all information before opening an account so I am wondering if I can sue the bank.
If I have a chance can anyone recommend an attorney in the Homestead Florida area?
