bank racks hundreds in debt visa fees, instead of boucing the check that busted acct?

What is the name of your state? TX

-My acct. is sited w/ at least a dozen ATM/ DEBT-VISA overdrawn fees (25.00 a piece), as a check was forced through instead of being rejected. The bank insists that they honored the check, incinuating that we would hopefully not be drawing out phony checks. I was hoping there might be some legal chapters/ enactments that can protect me as a consumer, and lead them to be reasonable, and not take advantage of their position in this matter- after all they are holding all the chips here! I don't recall ever having any kind of check that didn't have sufficient funds ever being paid unless I ordered an automatic w/ drawel from another acct., which in this case I do not. Who is to say they can't charge almost 1000.00 in overdraft fees in a situation similiar to this, and say it's acceptable?? I need to resolve this matter objectively, paying them fees surrounding a bounced check, not a deceptive trick to milk me for fees! Your attention to this case would be absolutely welcome, and very much appreciated!

There isn't a law to protect someone from being protected.
The bank's fees are clearly dictated in the member agreement you got when you signed up for the account.
You're lucky they covered the check.
Have YOU covered the amount of the check yet?
What your bank did was wonderful. At least the check went through. You would have had the party you tendered the check to after you for a bad check, had they not.
