Bank says I was overpaid


What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Washington

My bank says i was overpaid and refuses to show me any proof that i was overpaid what should i do

well like i said i went and withdrew money out of my account and about an hour later the bank called me saying that the teller had given me too much cash and supposedly i had to pay it back and that they had the teller on camera doing such

That isn't what you originally said, but okay now I get it. Did the teller actually (by mistake) give you more cash than she should have?

Ahhh, thanks for clearing it up. Now go back to the bank and give them the amount that they "overpaid" you. Or, would you prefer the local police give you a lift?

Tell them that you came away with your exact withdrawal. Then ask them to view the video.

i wasnt overpaid. Therefore i dont believe i should have to pay it back if they wont show me that i was

If they do not show you the video call their customer relations/customer solutions dept and speak with someone there, don't deal with the branch any more.

How much are we talking about anyway?

Don't deal with the branch any more. Speak to someone in client relations. Until they can prove to you that you were actually given more that you should have been it is the teller's loss.

They may debit your account and if they do, escalate this to whatever degree you have to.
