bank service charges

What is the name of your state? florida.sometime before 3/28/05 i had a citibank credit card stolen from the mail room in managua, nicagagua.i'm retired and live in nicaragua.and i bank with regions bank in bradenton,fl.by chance i was going thru my accounts one day and saw that $6607.20 had been charged to my account.my accounts are set up on autopay because of the time envolved in the mail service here.i e-mailed citibank, told them the card had been stolen and they closed the account.(the $6607.20 was charged in 3 days)they then tried to take the money from my bank account.i didn't have enough in the bank to cover it so the bank rejected it and charged me $30.citibank did this 4 times for a total of $120.because i can do very little from here my brother got envolved an had the autopay taken off the account.with my brothers help i sent citibank the forms they needed and told them i wanted the money refuned, but up to now i've heard nothing.this has become a matter of principle more then money.what else can i do?

I'm not quite clear on a few things. What forms did you send to the bank? Did you file a police report for the theft? How long ago did all of this happen? I'm assuming you are only asking about the Citibank issue and not the fees that you were charged by Regions bank. Please explain.
