bankruptcy question

What is the name of your state? KY
I'm getting married in a few weeks to a person who has filed for bankruptcy in the past. My
question is this going to affect my credit as well ? I'm not sure what bankruptcy chapter they filed under but the year was 2002 .

No. Your credit report will not be impacted by another person's credit.

The only impact will be if you apply for credit jointly -- in which case the lender at look at both credit reports.
