Being sent to collectionsWhat is the name of your state? I live in California. I recently had surgery and the hospital wanted me to pay up front (I couldn't afford to) they told me that if I did not have the balance paid in full within 3 months of the date of service they would send me to collections. When I asked if that would be the case even if I was making monthly payments I was told "Yes". Is this legal? I thought that as long as you were making an effort to pay your debt that they could not send you to collections & mess up your credit..Thanks. |

| "Is this legal?" *** Yes. "I thought that as long as you were making an effort to pay your debt that they could not send you to collections & mess up your credit." *** Sorry, but that is an 'old wives tale' and not correct. Simply, if you breach your payment agreement, the creditor can pursue any legal processes available.
__________________ There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution). Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport! |
