being sued by credit card co.

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Michigan
I was served papers from courts thru an attorney, saying I am being sued for credit card debt. I have 30 days to answer in writing, they are saying I owe much more than the initial credit line amt. I attempted to set up a payment plan thru capital one, they never followed thru with this and my account was hacked into. How do I handle this situation??What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

You need to answer as directed by the complaint. I would also suggest attempting to settle the debt through the attorney's office if you could.

Of course the amount they are suing for is greather than the initial credit line. It is called interest.

And fees, and court costs, and attorney fees, and ...

Although I am interested to hear how Capital One didn't follow through on the OP's payment agreement?
