Ch 7 in 1995 (OK), Lawyer said 7 yrs, has this changed? What is the name of your state? Oklahoma My husband had a Ch. 7 filed/discharged 9/1995. The attorney at that time said it would only stay on the credit reports for 7 years. Now, all the information we see says 10 years? Has this changed or were we misinformed? How can we remove it now (if possible)? Credit has been excellent since and the bankruptcy is preventing us from purchasing a home at a fair interest rate. Thanks, Gail F. |

| Your husband was misinformed. For conventional rates, check out FHA mortgages. They are not score driven and require 24 consectutive months of good credit post bk. |
