Checks Bounced

What is the name of your state? Nevada

I wrote three checks about two months ago online to pay for their services. At that time I lost my job and had to pull the money to pay for bills. I know that it is my fault and responsibility, but I do want to pay that back now that I have a job. My question is if there is an agency that I can call to see if I have been charged with fraud or is it fraud? Please help because I have never been in this kind of trouble before. Thank you for your time.

It wasn't your intent to defraud when you wrote the checks, unless you knew you were going to lose your job and did it anyway. The best thing for you to do is contact this company and make good on the checks.

Okay, your message is somewhat incoherent, but it sounds like the bottom line is that you wrote some rubber checks. The easiest thing to do would be to contact the payees of the checks and ask them what they want you to do about it. They may ask for cashier's checks for the amount owed plus any fees they were charged by their bank for the bad checks.

Another option, if these checks were issued to retailers, is to contact Telecheck. It is possible that you were reported to them for the bad checks. Below are some numbers I found at http://www.telecheck.com/wwwtelecheck/CDA/CDAtemplates/twsCDAGeneric/0,1922,164,00.html
