Citibank reported me 8x for 2 lates

I have been going back and forth with them on this issue for well over six months. Transunion will not do anything, because Citi keeps "verifying it as correct".

Here are the details.

Twice in 2006, I came out of deferment on my citibank student loan.... once in May and the other in December. I didn't realize a payment was due, as the invoice looks the same, whether there is an amount due or not... I can accept that (grudgingly) but then on my credit report it turned out that I have been reported not twice, but for eight delinquincies. Their reasoning is that there is apparently four loans of $5000 each. But they only send me one invoice! So, if I am late on their one invoice, it carries the weight of four!

I do not feel that this is fair reporting, and any suggestions are very appreciated!

This is correct, until you consolidate you do in fact have 4 separate loans so you had 4 separate latenesses. You are going to have to wait for it to drop off your report.
