Clearing up CO

What is the name of your state? NH

I have a several credit card debts that are CO's and at least a year over SOL for NH. This debt jumps from company to company now, making my credit worse and worse. I do not have the money to pay off any of this debt, which is past SOL anyhow.

1. Is bankruptcy my only option?
2. I hear of a law firm, Lawerence or something like that. They claim they can remove and clear-up you CO's and past credit history, is that true?
3. Other than paying, what options do I have to clear my credit history of these past CO's and old debt which is no longer collectable?
