collecting from a customer

What is the name of your state? Pennsylvania
I am a locksmith / door company. I have a customer who owes me a substantial amount of money from various door installations I have done as his sub-contractor on several projects. This customer outright refuses to return my calls or pay his bill. Can I seek payment directly from the owners of the buildings where the work was performed? I know at least one of them owes my customer retainage that would cover what my customer owes me. If I can seek payment from the building owners, how do I go about it. Thank you very much for any help you can give me.
