I have a credit card account that I have been delinquent with for the last year. I have made several sporadic payments but have not been able to keep the account current. I recently got a new job and much more financial stability. I can now begin paying this card again on a regular basis. The credit card company stopped sending me bills a few months ago. I recently called them to ask them to start sending me bills again so I might pay them. They told me that a collection agency is now handling the account. They will not start sending me bills again.

Is there anything I can do to make them send me bills again? They have been accepting my sporadic payments over the last few months, but they won't send me a bill. Can they do this? Does their acceptance of my payments give me any rights?

I live in Texas.

They may have charged off your account, which means that they sold it to the collection agency. If this is the case, then the credit card company is no longer responsible for your debt, therefore they will no longer send you bills.
