Collection AgencyFlorida I recieved a medical bill of $1,000 (after insurance) from a hospital I was admitted to. Upon recieving the bill, I called the hospital and set up a payment plan of $25 per month. After making the first payment, I was reported to a collection agency and it now reflects that on my credit report. They claim the debt is due in full and even if I make payments, it will reflect 30-60-90 days late until the balance is paid. I was never informed of this practice on the collection of this hospital's debt at the time of the agreement. Can I be reported to a collection agency if I am making timely payment as agreed upon between me and my creditor? |

| Yes. They're not doing anything illegal. Hospitals in particular are VERY quick to send accounts to collections, even if you've made arrangements to pay them, they don't pursue them themselves for long.
