I received a letter from a collection agency last month on a medical bill for an amount I have NO knowledge on. I looked through all my past medical bills from this creditor and nothing adds up. The letterhead said something about Risk Management at this collection agency (same address). I wrote my little dispute letter and sent it in. No word back yet. What Im thinking this is is part of a collection that this agency had a few years back that I disputed and disputed and disputed - I cant count how many letters I wrote or how many times I went down in person to dispute that wonderful bill. For 6 months this went on until I finally was able to show them that "hey this is wrong". They said they would look into - then three months later I get another statement saying I owed on the account. I filed a complaint and have never heard one word about it - checked my credit report - it was not on there.

Now what can I do if this is the SAME bill? Please dont tell me to talk with a lawyer I have tried that with several other cases and they are complete idiots here in this area.(Talked with them on a discrimination case - they said there was nothing I could do, so I filed myself, researched and came out with a nice judgement for me. Personal injury case - same thing. I can do the legal stuff better them some lawyer here.)

I cant get a loan to save my hide although my income far exceeds my debt. I pay my bills on time. The only thing on my credit is from medical - which was years ago when I became very very ill and had no income. - Long story.

Currently I am in the process of rebuilding my credit with a high interest credit card through my bank - which I hardly use.

When the bank officer and I looked at my credit report they didnt see anything that extrordinary with it except for a huge amount owed to the hospital - most everything else was paid off.

This credit agency is going to drive me over - At times I feel the only way to get results is to do something major - then maybe people can take a look at. I have talked with the state attorney generals office - there is nothing I can do about payments - law says that if their not happy with what im paying them then they can take further collection actions.

Sorry for rambling - HELP
