Collection help!

What is the name of your state? IN

To make a long story short it seems that I signed a contract last year saying that I would buy a vacation for $600. ( I was mislead but that'sa whole other story). They sent me a bill last year and I called them and requested a copy of the papers I signed, they refused to send, I called back weeks later and asked for a supervisor and was refused, then asked for the papers again and refused so I said no papers I'm not paying.
No they have turned it into a collection for $971. after fighting with them I got the papers and I do not think I can get out of it. My question is, the company and the collection are refusing to send me the phone confersations that I had with them, not that it will get me out of the contracts but could it get me out of the late fees?? If I never refused that I owed the money just wanted to see the papers and they refused I'm I still responsible for the late fees??

Sorry for it being so long, by the way collection agency are a B*tch to talk to the guy hang up on me and told me to go jump in a lake.

Thanks for any help.

I believe the only way you'd get those taped conversations would be with a lawsuit as part of the discovery process, and this is small potatoes, really.

Even though you were asking for copies of the contract, the late fees would still be yours to pay, unfortunately.

However, if deception was involved, then you might be able to pursue it that way, but I think it would cost you a lot more money than its worth. You could see if a lawyer would look over the papers you signed to see if there's any 'out' for you.
