Collections on credit card debt

I am in California and currently I am unable to make any credit card payments. I can pay off the whole thing in a lump sum later this year but currently I can do nothing. I am wondering how long after I make the last payment will the collections people get a judgement against me to attach wages/property?

The total is about $19,000, the largest one is $9,000, Chase Bank. I just got off the phone with them, they will settle for 60% payoff at this point but I won't have that kind of money for awhile. They wanted my checking account info so they could get 3 reduced payments in 3 months. I am not giving that to anybody.

I am wondering how long 1) before they will likely sell the debt to a collector [it is 5 months past due at this point] 2) how long will it take the collector to get to court and get a judgement?
