I have a collection agency/legal dept for a lawyers office that represents the creditors calling myself and my husband threatening anything and everything almost it seems trying to intimidate us. He calls threatening to take our car, our house, our whatever else he spews out of his mouth. Many of these things in which we do not even have. He then calls my parents home to try to weasle information out of them and also calls my husbands employer and harrasses them.

How far can collection agents go in threats? Are they even allowed to do this? Are they allowed to call anyone and everyone they possibly have a phone number for that may be associated with you to intimidate them into giving out information?

What is my recourse in any of this? Or do i just have to put up with it until I retain a lawyer?
