| My business folded Dec. 1999, my partner also ex-husband dissapeared with the money gained from selling the equipment I have been left with the Corporate credit cards to pay off as I signed for them, I have been paying as much as I can but now they are charging off the accounts and the Attorneys are threatening to take me to court. Which would be worse for me to file bankruptcy or to allow them to get a judgement against me? I would greatly appreciate some advice.I live in Florida, Thank You |

| You may be able to avoid both. If you don't want to file bankruptcy, have your attorney work out a payment arrangement with the credit card companies/collection agancies. This is unsecured debt so the credit card companies will normally accept a payment arrangement through an attorney. Don't let it get to the point of a judgement against you, they will put a lien on your bank account and may put a lien whatever property they can by law. |
