court judgement orders in ohio

What is the name of your state? ohio. if i'm sued in ohio & lose a judgement for unpaid medical bills or any other collections, what assets besides land & wage garnishment can be forfeited? can they sieze my 1st car, personal possessions, bank accounts or tax refunds? if so, how is this done after a court order? by a sheriff with a legal notice or what? thanks...

They can sieze any non-exempt assets, and that is usually NOT any of your personal property. If your vehicle is financed, they will likely leave it alone.

Go to [url]www.thebankruptcysite.com[/url] and go to "What can I keep", choose OHIO and you'll find the list of exemptions (same for judgments as for bankruptcy). Anything NOT on that list or above the exemption limit is likely to be a target.
