court papers are legit

What is the name of your state? California

Hi i posted a message regarding cc sueing my mother for $4000
on an account that was charged off. In response to some of the questions you asked me were when was her last payment? It was last year.I checked for a docket# and there was no docket#
but i did call the court that is taking this case. The case is taking place, they provided me with a case # but they did not give me a date to show up to court. One of my mother's friend talked to their lawyer and said they wpould settle for $2600. What should i do she co-signed for this credit card will these affect me? will they
come after me if my mom tells them that this not my account it;s
my son's because she co-signed.what are my options?

Looks like your mother is the one affected since she was the one who got sued. I'd suggest settling. Get the terms in writing and make sure it completely clears the debt and they promise not to resell any portion of the settled balance. That should keep tyhem from coming after you. As I recall, this is Discover? They are a nasty creditor to have on your back.
