credit card


What is the name of your state?south carolina i had a capital one {visa} credit card . iI USED 100.00 OF IT .SOON AFTER I GOT ILL .I DONT DISPUTE I OWD THE 100.00 PLUS INTEREST,BUT IV BEEN PAYING 50.00 MONTH SINCE DECEMBER 2004,ALMOST A YEAR,WHEN I TRIED TO TALK TO THEM ,THEY SAID I STILL OWE 500.00.I AM 70 YEARS OLD ,TERMINALLY ILL. ,A WIDOW LIVING ON A SMALL FIXED INCOME..I HAVE ALREADY PAID 550.00 AND THEY ARE SAYING ANOTHER 500.00 IS OWING .PLEASE THIS SEEMS SO UNJUST. NATIONAL ACTION FINANCIAL SERVICES,INC IN WILLIAMCVILLE,NY IS THE ONE THATS COLLECTING . THIS SEEMS SO UNREAL TO ME. IF I STOP PAYMENT WHAT CAN THEY DO.IV OVER PAID THEM .PLEASE TELL ME WHAT I CAN DO .

It would appear that your problem is all the interest, late charges, collection fees, and etc. that they have added on to the original balance.

You could send them a letter certified mail, return receipt, and try to get one final amount, try to get them to agree to stop adding the other charges, but it is highly unlikely that they will agree to it.

If you do not have a huge income, or own a ton of assets, you really don't have much to worry about. They may sue you, which could result in them seizing a bank account, or putting a lien on your house.

I am hoping others might pop in soon with further advice for you.
