Credit card debt

What is the name of your state? MA
My Credit card limit is $2000. I now owe $2300. due to fees and finance charges. Capital one allowed me to charge over the limit. I have called and told them to cancell the card and that i can only afford to pay $100.00 per month to pay it off. They said that it is not good enough that i have to pay 900.00 immediately. I don't have it. They keep charging the over the limit fee. Can i just ignor them and pay the $100.00 per month.
what can they do to me.

You can ignore them and keep paying the $100. They’ll keep it and apply it. They won’t return it. Is it enough to clear the over –limit fee, late charges and finance charge or are you going backwards each month? Eventually, they’ll cut-off the card and sue. If you’re clearing more than is accruing, they may wait a bit longer to do it. Try to find some resource that will allow a large payment and try talking again, but it’s going to have to be much closer to what they want and there’s still no guarantee.
