| Re: Credit card maxed out. When did he make these charges? If it was 10 years ago, then you have no worries as the credit card bill is out of the SOL= statue of limitations. What that means is, that they can try to sue you, but your defense would be the SOL. It would then be thrown out of court/dismissed. Is it reporting on your american credit report? If it is, dispute it with the credit bureau that is reporting it as "OBSOLETE" as it can only legally be reported for 7 1/2 year from the last time you made a payment. I would go ahead and send a letter to the creditor a letter that the bill is out of SOL and ask that they only contact you by mail.
