Credit Card Payment Responsibility

i live in NY and my husband died last week. Am i legally responsibile to pay credit card accounts that were solely his? These were not joint accounts. Also, do i have to pay his medical bills? thanks so much for helping me..

The card balances shouold be paid from his estate. However, if he didn't have large balances due, you may just write letters to the creditors telling them that he has passed away. Some creditors will write it off without further collection attempts.
