Credit/Debit Card Processing

does anyone know how long a debit card purchase in southern california can be outstanding? the purchase was made a month and a half ago and has not cleared with the bank yet. thanks!

Dear KJL,

Typically these transactions are cleared within 48 hours of approval by your bank. You need to contact your bank and see if an authorization has been issued for the charge. If their is no pending authorization then no charge is going to show up any time in the future and you can consider the charge dead. If you owe the company money for goods or services, you should contact them to find out how they would like to be paid, since they never charged your card.
