Credit Help

What is the name of your state? North Carolina
Hi,
My husband and I ran into to some financial problems a few years ago.
We have items for (example a reposesstion) that has been on there for over 7 years. Anyone have any suggestions on how I can have these items removed from our credit reports. There is also a few charge offs and write offs on there also. Any help would be greatly appreciated, we married very young and was a bit imature with our money back then, and now we are wanted to get our credit back on track but nobody will give us any credit because of these items still showing on there. HELP!!
Thanks & God Bless
Tonya

I agree to a fractional part of "Fast" reply. Start by getting all three credit reports. Review for inaccurracies. Check for any judgements .

Disputing negative entries doesnt always get them off a report. Some may need to stay there if the reporting creditor is within the active time frame.
Judgements rarely can be removed thru disputes with the CRA.
Here is a helpful link though :www.creditboards.com
Review the Statute of Limitations for your state.
