crooked doctor?

I need help!! I set up an appointment with a doctor(chiropractor) who said he accepted my insurance. I find out after two years he is sending collection agencies after me and he has tried to bill my insurance and they won't pay. They say he is not contracted with them. Now he is charging me! I have good insurance and I never would have went to him if it wasn't covered. What can I do?
