is debt paid in full ?What is the name of your state? Florida If somebody cuts a deal with a collection agency for say 50% of amount owed and receives a paid in full letter from that agency, can the remainder of that debt ever be collected upon by another collection agency or the original creditor ? Can that agency sell the remainder of that debt to someone else and would they have a legal right to collect it ? Thanks |

| Yes and Yes - happens all the time. Keep whatever confirmation letter you get from the CA you settled with for the rest of your life (basically). I some another one comes sniffing around, you're going to have to use that 1st letter to try and get rid of the next one.
