debt turned over to a collector without noticevirginia, my condo association has turned over collection of fees without a written statement or notice to me. is there a requirement to notify me prior to turning it over to the collector. |

| Collection fees for what? When? How did they come about? Were you notified that there was a deficiency somewhere? Need more info. |

| No, they do not have to notify you before turning it over to collections. However, I find it hard to believe that if you were behind in your HOA dues that you didn't receive some kind of notice. I'd read your covenants and restrictions and see if there's anything in them pertaining to the collection of dues.
