Unhappy

default on a settlement, garnishment

What is the name of your state? From New York.

I settled a law suit and did so foolishly.

I did so to have peace at my job.

The person that went after me was a coworker. In any event we settled in court and I settled for $4,000.00

in payments of 100 a month.

The original amount the plaintiff went after was $8,000.00

Does a defualt if I no longer can pay mean I'm liable for the settlement amount?
Or the original claim of $8,000.00.

I'm unemployed now collecting unemployment.

Can severance pay be garnished,
if a judgement is placed aganist me?

What is exempt in new york state.

Can my car which is of little value and I have a bank loan on it, can an attchment be placed on my car.

I need it to get work and work.

Can't I tell the court that I will resume payments when I get a job again.

Will I have to pay interest on what may be considered what I still owe.

Lastly if in the future my new job has a garnishment on it, can't I get a installment judgement.

Make arrangments for paying it out all over agin, thus avoiding a full judgement on my record.

Thanks.

No one is going to help you since you abused this website before.

I didn't, someone had my permission to

use my computer and I didn't pay attention to what they were up to.

Sorry if that person wasn't working with your site in a professional manner.

What am I to do?

**A: oh yeah, right. And this someone somehow out of millions of user names and passwords magically discovered yours.

Q: what am I to do.
A: find another website.

You were acting hot before when you stated in your December 2000 post, "I am a working female Jewish business professional"
You see what happens when you do not treat everyone in a nice manner. Now it's coming back to haunt you.
What goes around comes around. Good day.

I never said someone discovered

my user name and password.

I said I simply allowed someone to use my computer since they didn't own one.
They needed advice from your website
and I do recall they were some what dissapointed.

I have a record of all screen names and passwords in a software program that allows for record keeping.

When I decided to use this site for my self, I was notified I was all ready registered.

So I looked up this in my files.

As I said that person may have done something you didn't like.

So what am I to do.
That person is no longer a friend of mine.

Then your only option would be to file an appeal to the Freeadvice Forum Board of Appeals.
You can do this via email. Address your email request to:

Board of Appeals
Appellate Judge ******
using email address mary@adviceco.com

If your appeal is granted, you may be assigned another user name or whatever is adjudicated by the Appellate Judge due to your indivdual circumstances.

Good luck.
