Employer released my SSN

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA

My employer had AMEX issue me a credit card for business expenses. The problem is I never gave my permission for them to give my Social Security number to anyone. What can I do? The companys office manager should have never gave anyone or any company my personal info. I am trying to purchase a home and this will affect my credit report. Can I press charges against her?

Your credit has to be checked for your employer to get a business card for you, to make sure that you are not in the habit of misusing credit. But if you check your credit reports, that card may not even show up (unless delinquent).

Some years ago MBNA (now owned by BoA) sent me a business credit card in place of one of my personal cards. That business card is not even associated with my employer (although, I do use it for reimbursable expenses, since I can get a printout for a specific charge if I lose a receipt). Even though it is a "personal" business card with just my name on it, it does not show up on my credit reports.

So unless your company tends to not pay their bills on time, it should not be an issue at all.
