End of Garnishment Question

What is the name of your state? Ohio

I'm not sure if I should be asking this here or on another board.

My 3/31 paycheck should be the last to be garnished to pay off a judgment to Citibank. My question is this....how does my company know what to cut that final check for? My garnishment has been $659.92 from each check, but my calculations show that just under $400 will finish paying the debt, 10% interest granted by the court, and $117 in costs.

Thanks in advance for your help.

The writ of garnishment will list the exact amount owed to the judgement debtor. Your payroll should have been keeping a running tab of this total. I would suggest contacting your payroll department just to make sure they are aware of the situation.

I got ahold of the the attorney's office that's handling this for Citibank. I was told that my company is to continue garnishing until the court notifies them to stop. Once the court receives documentation that the judgment is paid, I will get a check back from the court for any overage.

Does that sound right? In the meantime, I'm still waiting on a call back from my HR guy here at work.
