Angry

About 3 years ago I dated a police officer and I was having some money problems and he gave me monies and told me not to worry about paying back. Now after 3 years he wants his monies, which I do not have any monies, he does not have my address and continues to call me parents house and leave me emails letting me know that he can find me if he wants, because he works for the law. He continues to harasse my family and leave me threatening emails. If this legal? Do I have any rights? How can I get him to stop. He says he'll have my spousal support garnished etc. I do not work and I am a single mom, going through college. Please any advise would help. Thank you in advance for your help.

I would also suggesting getting a restraining order from the court. Harassment is not allowed. Also, did you sign any paper saying that you would return the money? If it's not documented, it didn't happen.

Q1) "He continues to harasse my family and leave me threatening emails. If this legal?"
A1) Yes and no. If you are asking if his calling you about the debts is legal, yes it is, within reason. If the threats are physical or the harassment is NOT debt related, then you might consider taking some action against him in the form of filing a complaint with his department. They take a dim view of a police officer using his position for personal purposes ("Official Oppression").

Q2) "Do I have any rights?"
A2) Yes. Which ones are you looking for??

Q3) "How can I get him to stop."?
A3) See A1 above.

Q4) "He says he'll have my spousal support garnished etc."
A4) He can't do anything to you except take you to court where he will have to PROVE his claim that the monies were loans. And based on your post, he has no 'counter' to your claim of gifts.

There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution).

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!
