Ex-Spouse Credit Card Debt

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Alaska

My husband and his ex-wife divorced in 2002. She opened a Discover card account while they were married and had a separate card with his name. Just before and during their separation she managed to accumulate a large balance on the card. She still has a large balance and is having difficultly making the payments. Will my husband be responsible for any of the balance?

Will he?? No one can answer that without a LOT more facts.

However, it is LIKELY that he will be found liable for part or all of the debt. If his name was on the account (as implied from your 'his name is on the card'), then he could have a hard time claiming that he did not know of the card... and certainly made harder due to the amount of time involved.
What actions did HE take to mitigate the 'damage' of her having and using a card with his name on it?? Why didn't he contact the creditor and close the account??

There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) filed in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution).

Why has he spent over $1.7M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!
