Fair Debt Collection Practices ActWhat is the name of your state? KY Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, if a collection agency had "Law Office" in their name, wouldn't that be a violation of §807 (3)? And if a debt collector states for example, "We need to contact you in regards to a fraudulant social security number case against you" and that prompts you to call them, only to have it be about an old debt that they have bought, isn't that illgal under §807 (10)? |

| How might one go about investigating a "Law Office"? I was told this particular office was illegal because it had no lawyers working in it. And that the lawyer whose name it was in was "renting" his liscense to them. Wouldn't THAT be illegal in itself |
