Filing BK

What is the name of your state? TX
Before I file, I was wondering if I would lose my car in the BK. I have 96 acura with 127K miles and still owe 1800. Would the court ask me to sell my car?

Get a blackbook price on your car, not Kelly Blue Book. That will be a lower value than KBB. If that gets it within the exemption, then no, they can't take your car. TX also has a the following exemption:

"1 two-, three- or four wheeled motor vehicle per member of family or single adult who holds a driver’s license "

The car is exempt.
