Found doctor, her fee was paid, but...

ky. okay, i reached doctor's office. our insurance paid her bill to the hospital where i was treated and they,the hospital, have since declared bankruptcy and they did not pay her, so now she says we are responsible.

What papers did you sign? What does it say about responsibility? Was the bill payment supposed to go to the hospital? The insurance should pay, not you.

insurance did pay

our insurance did pay, to the hospital that the doctor worked for, but they since filed banruptcy and did not pay the doctor, i think the doctor should have to go back on the hospital, not us, but what do we do in the meantime to get the off our credit report? this happened in 1996, i do't know what papers my husband signed.
