Frozen Bank Account

I owe sales tax to the State of Texas for a business that was foreclosed on in 2005. They have now frozen my personal checking account. The account was overdrawn at the time by $444 which I have now brought to $0 balance. The bank would not let me close the account and my husband, not liable for the debt, could not stop his direct deposit paycheck from depositing into this account. Will we just lose his paycheck or are there some type of limitations on taking money needed for necessary living expenses.

Nope, there's no way to stop them from taking what is owed as long as they have a valid levy on the account. TX is a community property state, your DH may, in fact, be equally liable for the debt.
