good card for recent college graduate?

What is the name of your state? CA

What kind of card should I get? I just graduated so I can't get a student card, but I don't meet minimum income requirements for regular unsecured cards. I currently work part time and my full time job doesn't start for a couple weeks. Last time I had a credit check my rating was in the mid 700's. Also, I would prefer a Visa/MC w/o the foreign currency conversion fees as I plan to use the card mainly to make international purchases - I believe only Capitol One and MBNA don't surcharge.

I suggest you ask this question over at www.creditboards.com, there's lots of info on cards over there.

Try American Express. They only have one minor drawback...bill must be paid in full at each billing statement.

A person with no credit history and just starting out is never going to meet Amex's stringent criteria for income and credit record.

you have a credit score in the mid 700s and you just graduated college? that's highly unlikely, unless you're independently wealthy and have a long major purchase and/or credit history. in which case you should either be smarter enough to figure out the answer to this question yourself, or else you should have plenty of credit card offers that are great!
