Unhappy

i have a hospital bill which my insurance has not paid due
to the hospital billing with the wrong diagnosis code.all
related charges have been paid. I started paying it while
arguing with the insurance company. Now I have received a
summons to appear in court, however, if i fill out a complete financial statement i may not have to go to court and they will tell me what I can pay. this includes credit
card# balance due, credit available, what i paid for my house
how much I owe, everything, bank account #'s amount in them
etc, you get the pic. Do I have to fill this out or can I
just keep paying them, this summons is from an attorney.
the amount is $1200.00 not a lot but I am unable to pay this
in full.

HELP

Your post puzzles me. Hospitals rountinely work out payment arrangements for bills of that size.
How long has the bill been unpaid? How much are you paying a month? When was the last payment?
If it has been a year or more since the charge was incurred and, you've made only one or two small payments I can see their point. But, if you've been paying say $50/month since you learned of the dispute then I think they're being a little heavy handed.
Sounds like they have sued and are offering a chance at an out of court settlement. If $1200 is the total issue, I do one of two things. Give up the info. or, call the hospital billing business office and ask what the minium they will accept until it can be paid.

Just my $0.02 worth..

Try to resist all efforts to obtain your personal financial information, especially if it only to get you 'consideration' for further relief (your post said, "if i fill out a complete financial statement i may not have to go to court").

Once they have that information, it could be used against you in the event that they get a judgment.

There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution).

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!
