MY WIFE WAS RECEIVING SSI BEFORE SHE PASSED AWAY. S.S. OFFICE WAS DEPOSITING HER FUNDS ON A DEBIT CARD CALLED DIRECT EXPRESS. THE BANK BEING USED WAS COAMERICA. AS I TRIED TO GET THE FUNDS AS HER BENEFECIARY I RAN INTO A WALL. DIRECT EXPRESS CAN ONLY RETURN THE FUNDS TO THE BANK. THE BANK CAN ONLY RETURN THE FUNDS TO THE S.S. OFFICE. AND THE S.S. OFFICE CAN NOT ACCEPT THOSE FUNDS BECAUSE THEY ONLY PAY OUT TO PEOPLE WHO ARE RECIEVING S.S.I. SO THE FUNDS ARE STUCK AT THE BANK. APPERENTLY THEY DIDN'T SEE THIS FLAW WHEN THEY SET UP THIS PLAN TO DISPURSS FUNDS TO PEOPLE.
