I need helpTexas I had a loan with a credit union that was paid off in May of the year 2000. During the time of the loan I was delinquent 30 days in 3/2000, 30 days in 4/2000 and 60 days in 5 /2000. I contacted the credit union back in June of 2004 because I pulled my credit report from My Fico.com and saw that in the section called “status” it was reading, “Currently delinquent,” I asked the the credit union to correct this as my account was not “currently delinquent” it has been paid off since May of 2000. This was a simple error and should have been a simple quick fix. I waited a few weeks to pull my Trans Union credit report again and see if it was fixed and it changed to now I was delinquent in March, April and May of 2004. This account has been paid off for over four years so somebody made a major clerical error by changing the dates to 2004. I disputed this with the Credit Bureau but it is still not fixed. What next??? any advice? |

| The second time you disputed, what response was given to you for not changing it? You may be able to file suit on this matter since dates are bouncing around more then dolly p's double d's! Go to www.creditboards.com and ask whychat to maybe advise on what best recourse you have on getting this data fixed. |

Another referenceAs I was surfing around, I found a site ( http://www.CreditCards2U.com ) that references a company that specializes in removing and repairing credit reports. I think it was Lexington Law. They claim to have resolved hundreds of thousands of problems. |

| NO, NO, NO ! Avoid Lexington Law and all like them like the plague !! There is NO reason to fork over thousands of dollars to a scam firm like Lex Law when you can do all the repairs yourself for practcially NOTHING. I suggest you head for creditboards.com and read up in the newbie section, then ask any questions in the Credit Forum. You should also do a search there for "Lexington Law" just so you can read the horror stories for yourself.
