IL- Citation Notice

I received a citation notice for a debt owed for a medical bill. I have a court date coming up, however, I called the attorney on the notice who is representing the medical company and worked out a payment plan which will begin a few days AFTER the court date. My question is...is this going on my credit as a judgement anyway or will the lawyer just not go to court? Can I postpone this court date any way so I can be sure I won't get taken advantage of?
