My ex-girlfriend got a cell phone for me some years ago. I managed to run up the bill pretty high and not pay it back until recently. The offense is on her credit report, and it is entirely not her fault. I need to correct the situation. What can I do?
And what do I need to write a letter absolving her of any responsibility? |
**A: since the account was under her name there is not much you can do to fix her credit report. Even if you did not pay her or the cellphone provider directly, she signed the contract and has full and complete liability. Send her a dozen roses and a check for $1000 together with a letter of apology.
