Im out over $28,000 , Now what? (PA)

Im from PA. I will make this as short as possible. I was in an auto accident a few years ago. I only had limited tort insurance but came out with some sort of settlement. One I got the check my father and I went to the bank and put it into an account 2geather. I was about 17 at this time. It was put into a savings account. I had no intentions on touching it until i got into my career in real estate.

Several months ago I wanted to buy a car. I went the take my money out and I only had about $1,000 left. My father took all of my money, just about all of it! This money was about the only thing that helped me cope with my life changing accident. I was praying there is something I can do, and hoping someone on here can give me an insight.

Thank You
-Mike (PA)

There is too much information left out here. Who was the check made out to? Whose insurance were you on? Why didn't you open a new account with your name only when you turned 18?

Either way you would of course have to sue your father. The strength of your case may depend on how you answer the questions above.

Hire a lawyer.
